For this reason it is very important that the consumer is well informed about the application he is interested in but even more important is to choose correctly the doctor who will apply the service he wants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So then, as <\/span><b>Medical Aesthetics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> defined <\/span><b><i>all medical procedures (surgical and non-surgical) to improve the health, beauty and youthfulness of the body, face and skin<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The specialties dealing with the field of <\/span><b>Medical Aesthetics is Dermatology and Plastic Surgery<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In Greece in recent years, there is a phenomenon of intrusion in this area by doctors of other specialties such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forensic doctor to do Botox and hyaluronic acid!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cardiac surgeon applying mesotherapy!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neurosurgeon performing laser hair removal!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ophthalmologist to do hyaluronic on the lips!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dentists applying Botox, hyaluronic and peelings!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paramedical professions such as pharmacists, nurses and aestheticians who break the law by applying medical procedures such as injectable treatments (botox, hyaluronic and other implants, medical laser applications, etc.) and even<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entrepreneurs who advertise in the media the services they provide often below cost or even by giving impossible results in order to attract the naive clientele to their premises.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, today, more than ever before, it is necessary for the media to inform the consumer responsibly about the actions (and their results) concerning <\/span><b>Medical Aesthetics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, within the framework of Medical Ethics, and are performed by doctors who have studied this subject. That is to say, primarily by <\/span><b>Dermatologists - Aphrodisiologists and Plastic Surgeons<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time the consumer must be aware of the <\/span><b>conditions for the proper implementation of high quality Medical Aesthetics services.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> These are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be preceded by <\/span><b>clinical examination and assessment of the problem<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the doctor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0397 <\/span><b>complete information<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is necessary and the choice of treatment should be a joint decision of both (doctor and consumer). Incomplete and false information is an important warning that something is wrong!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>expectations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> patient and therapist to always be <\/span><b>realistic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Cultivating excessive expectations is always a concern!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The consumer to know from the beginning the <\/span><b>treatment status<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u03c2.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is he a doctor? If so, is he a specialist or an unskilled one?<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Training\/Certification: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is he a Dermatologist - Venereologist or Plastic Surgeon? If not, where was he trained? Because these are the only two specialties where Medical Aesthetics is taught.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Education + Skill + Experience = Effectiveness. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, in addition to education, the skill and experience of the therapist is equally important. Ask for photos (before and after treatment) of similar cases.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What materials do they use? Are the <\/span><b>products certified;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(CE, ISO etc., country of origin)<\/span><b>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(botox, hyaluronate, hydroxyapatite, injectable threads, mesotherapy materials, etc.). Ask for them to be opened in front of you.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Devices: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In which country are they made? China, America, Europe or Korea? Is it <\/span><b>certified<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CE, ISO etc., country of origin, service)<\/span><b>. Always ask for <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">inform you of the type and origin of the device they will use.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The place where these operations are carried out is important! Is it a doctor's office or a room in a beauty salon? What are the conditions of application?  Are they applied in a narrow room without good lighting? Are the rules of antisepsis observed?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The attending physician should observe medical ethics.
