Vaccination of patients with psoriasis is a special category that should always follow the instructions of dermatologists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Vaccination of patients with psoriasis with the approved vaccines for Covid-19 is recommended. The vaccines are safe in psoriatic patients under immunosuppressive treatment.<\/li>
  2. During the vaccination period, treatment for psoriasis should not be interrupted. If possible, it is recommended that vaccination be scheduled in the middle of the interval between 2 applications of the medication. For patients receiving cyclosporine, methotrexate, tofacitinib a short interruption of treatment after vaccination is recommended.<\/li>
  3. Since the effectiveness of vaccination cannot be guaranteed, patients on systemic treatment should continue to follow prophylactic strategies (e.g. masks and social distancing measures).<\/li>
  4. Patients with psoriasis should have other vaccinations, such as for influenza and pneumococcus.<\/li>
  5. Early studies suggest that some patients with autoimmune, inflammatory diseases under immunosuppressive treatment may have a reduced response to mRNA vaccines for Covid-19 disease. Therefore, the third dose of the vaccine is recommended at least 28 days after the second dose.<\/li>
