Why does the skin lose its youthful appearance?
The renewal of skin cells is one of the most important biological processes. This renewal takes place in the epidermis due to the proliferation and differentiation of keratinocytes and in the dermis in the main skin, the synthesis of collagen and elastin proteins that make the skin firmer and more elastic.
Over time, the skin does not retain moisture, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles, while collagen and elastin degenerate in the main skin. Along with these, hyaluronic acid, which is essential for skin hydration, is reduced, as well as natural fat.
The features of the skin aging are wrinkles, discolouration (mainly the development of darker or lighter spots on the skin), yellowish tinge over time, loss of moisture and elasticity of the skin, loss of volume, spider veins, sagging etc.
